Immediate Crisis Support Services:

  • Lifeline: 13 11 14 - Available 24/7 - Australia's largest crisis support line. Anyone in Australia can speak to a trained Crisis Supporter over the phone, any time of the day or night.

  • Suicide Call Back Service: 1300 659 467 - Provides telephone and online counseling 24/7 to people aged 15 and over who are suicidal, caring for someone who is suicidal, bereaved by suicide, and health professionals supporting people affected by suicide.

  • 13YARN: 13 92 76 - National crisis support line for mob who are feeling overwhelmed or having difficulty coping. Offers confidential one-on-one yarning opportunities with a Lifeline-trained Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Crisis Supporter, available 24/7.

  • Youth Hotline: 1800 10 18 10 - Offers advice for those under 18, operating 9 AM to midnight on weekdays and 24/7 from Friday 9 AM to Sunday midnight. Under the Young Offenders Act 1997 (NSW), it provides legal advice before admissions to police, who may issue cautions or refer youth to justice conferences instead of filing charges.

  • Ted Noffs: 1800 151 045 - Provides services helping young people with drug, crime, and mental health issues.

  • Threads Together: Thread Together - Collects brand new unsold clothing from around the country, partnering with charities and social service agencies to distribute to people in need.
